In the past week, I have been asked by several people the same question. Why should I attend GPUG Amplify?
I've been working with Bob McAdam (DCI) and the Microsoft GP team on content for event and it's shaping up to be really good. Every day this week you should see more and more content on the www.gpugamplify.com site, direct link to schedule: (http://bit.ly/1Sge56Y)
Why you should attend Amplify according to Pam
The experts from Microsoft will be there. The support help desk will be open for any and all questions you have. Hint: Bring your support questions that you would have to pay for a support incident and it could pay your way to go.
My Dynamics GP dev team will be there. They will present on the future of GP as well as what will have recently shipped on May 1, GP 2016. They are also going to have meetings with you to get feedback on GP 2016 R2. It's your prime opportunity to shape the future of GP.
One of the most powerful things about the GP community is the power and value of our ISV's. The Expo at Amplify will be full and you will have an opportunity to talk to them to see how you can run your business better/different/easier.
This first year, Amplify will be a smaller event. Smaller is a benefit because you will have more access to the people who can help in whatever goals you have. It's easier to find what is valuable to you.
GPUG Amplify vs. GPUG Summit
If you are looking for solutions to business problems I would go to Amplify. For example, growing pains, acquisitions, new lines of business, new opportunities you are thinking about. If you are looking for how to use your existing solution (better year end close) or do your current role better (AP Clerk topics), I would go to Summit.
The early bird deadline is this Friday, March 25th, so please take some time this week to decide if you can attend and register to save a little money. I hope to see you all there.
